Meet Laura 

 

I have my masters in counseling psychology and I have worked for the past 15 years as a clinical therapist in a community mental health clinic. I have over 20 years of experience serving on various church ministry teams and in personal prophetic ministry. Through it all I have learned to connect deeply with anyone and have learned yet more how to listen to the leading of the Holy Spirit in sessions. I have also been trained in various inner healing techniques - mostly listening prayer.

 

Like many I grew up in dysfunction- dysfunction in my family, in my faith community, in society in general. I coped by self medicating through food and watching television which resulted in isolation and depression. When I was 21 I had a life changing encounter with Jesus that marked me and thus began a long journey of healing. Like an onion there has been  many layers to my healing. I explored and partook of various modalities of emotional healing throughout the past 30 years and marvel at the freedom God has brought me. Listening prayer and the prophetic were powerful tools that impacted my growth. As I gained my healing I found myself using these tools as well with others.  Prophecy is simply hearing God's heart for someone and it is always loving. Listening prayer is basically using the gift of prophecy while praying for someone in a healing or strengthening time of prayer.
